For this project, I collaborated with the designer/ developer to create a complete overhaul of the news site, including: a more modern content categorization system (developed through research and user testing), and a new user interface to accommodate the needs of both users and editors. The challenge laid in the density of information that needed to be organized.
Panda Music School

This California-based music school needed an identity that would appeal to parents, as well as its broad age range of students. A perfect balance of cuteness and coolness needed to be struck so as to not insult the children with a cluelessly pedantic design, while the highly professional fit and finish of the logotype ensured parents that they were dealing with a dependable, creative, high-end product. There are also different color schemes for each difficulty level of the program. Look out for their website this year!
Kaplan University

As a member of this online university's User Experience division, I had hands-on experience with many great projects. Here you can see examples of two: One is a low-fi (though not lacking in subtlety or detail) interaction design for a task-based content management system, the other, is a sitemapping project where I greatly improved the sitemap of an overwhelmingly large site by creating a (semi-automated) sitemapping process and display style from scratch. Interesting note: it integrated MS Excel and Visio, both widely used products in the office.
The School of the Art Institute of Chicago

As an employee of the school's Art & Technology department, I prepared a variety of materials, including brochures and paper forms, the usability of which were always a primary concern.
Rozi

This was a logotype and identity for Rozi, a skilled cakestress. Her fantastically moist and creamy strawberry cake is her best-seller and trademark.
